Kanhaiya is a multi-talented director and Shiny award winner based in London whose films have been screened at various film festivals such as BFI Future Film Festival, LSFF, BFI Film on Film Festival, Encounters and at venues such as BFI Southbank, Picture House, The Prince Charles, and Vue Cinemas. Currently, he is a member of Film London & EAN

Originally from a small town in India, he grew up in various big cities. He went to Delhi for his five-year bachelor's degree in law with a specialisation in IP, which he completed in 2020. Shortly after his graduation, he became an autodidact filmmaker and photographer, working with a studio and as a freelancer in the roles of director, editor, cinematographer, etc.
He moved to London in 2021 to pursue his MA in directing at the MetFilm School. During that time, he directed various short films, including improv and corporate films. He also participated in the Straight8 film competition for 2022 and 23, winning both times.
Kanhiaya combines his life experiences and street photography skills to create and frame character(s) led stories and nurture the complexities of society and human emotions.
